Simulakra is a band fusing a broad spectrum of middle eastern music, balkan, Latin and more while pouring reality based and fictional story-like texts, generating a full-on energetic show and well detailed composition. The group was founded by Jazz academy graduates and accomplished musicians Avner Cohen (Double Bass) and Michael Glucksmann (Guitar) who joined with Ivan Ceresnjes (Percussion) in Jerusalem 2013. At the same year the band recorded a 3-song EP, performed in several venues in Jerusalem and moved to Berlin, Germany. Moving to Berlin, the band recruited Ittai Reznik as their new Drummer and Performed in many venues and Festivals in Berlin, Leipzig Dresden and more including: Karneval der Kulturen, Tagträumer Festival - Laucha an der Unstrut, Humboldthain Club, Urban Spree, Kulturfabric Moabit – Musique Maudite Festival, Kallasch& Moabiter Barprojekt, Mein Haus Am See, Prachtwerk Berlin, Blondes, Ostpoll, Tabori, Lipopette, Lagari, Shangl Hangl and more... During this concert local german musicians from different origins joined and affected the band's sound. After touring and experiencing Europe, they recorded their second EP - Duckin - in Tel Aviv at The Slick Studios.
