简介

The story of Regan takes us back to the small town of Andover, located in Hampshire, England, where a group of 4 teenage music loving individuals decided to join together to form what they thought would be the greatest band to come out of the town. Guitarist James Mitchener (Guitar) and best pal Richie Woods (Vox), Chris Andrews (Drums/Piano) and Ivor Phipps (Bass) began their journey into the rock world with a great reception from the public of their home town. 2001 - Regan visited Bob Ross Studios (P'mouth) to record what would be their first proper CD EP. This EP was named 'Papa Lazerou' after the bizarre clown styled circus freak who achieved notoriety through unorthodox comedy 'The League of Gentlemen'. The CD was a great success and sold over a thousand copies. More live shows ensued, and as the end of 2001 came, as did the departure of Ivor and Chris, as the music was taking a more aggressive route, not to their tastes. Replacement and re-entry into the circuit came not long after when friend to the band James McGuinness (Bitchway) offered his services as bass player. Then afro donned Jason was spotted banging things on a lightpost and coaxed into the band with promises of hair care products and young females. 2002- Regan recorded a second CD at Bob Ross studios titled "Genetic Death". The results were to say the least, disappointing for the band so they decided to change their name to Carnival of Souls to suit the switch to a considerably heavier genre. Then came a Management Deal with Jose Griffin of Copro Records, and COS were added to the roster of JMG AGENCY (The Haunted/Lostprophets/Earthtone 9 etc). 2003- Early Feburary, Jason opts to leave COS for Salisbury based band Junk DNA. The band incurs tremendous changes, The two James's and Richie decide to take the band to a new level, and create doom/death metal influenced band 'Profanity Found', featuring Pip Sampson (Ex HFM) on Drums, and Stuart Hine (Priority 15/Fatal Outcry) On bass, with James McGuinness stepping up to playing Rythm guitars for the group. The band takes turns this way and that, With the departure and return of James Mitchener (Temporarily replaced by LifeBlind's Mat Shaw), and departure of Stuart (Temporarily replaced by Life Blind's Bill Walter) the band set about playing with renowned bands such as Eden Maine, Onedice, Skindred and Breed 77, but never finding their niche, the band begin to take a back seat. TODAY 2004- Upon being offered recording time , the band decide to separate the genres and reform the original band 'Regan' with the two James's (guitars), Richie (vox), Jason (Drums) and Chris Andrews (Piano/Bass) so that they may pursue making music in the genre of Rock. The band have finished recording a brand new single for Matchbox Recordings and the rest will be history. The stunning, very melodic and touching epic rock single " Un-Noticed" is out now through Matchbox, CD Baby and Tower. Think Pink Floyd on even stronger drugs meets a melodic Nirvana on holiday with a mellow Metallica. The breakthrough single comes backed with 2 bonus tracks " Heaven Knows" and "Childhood Symphony".
