In a scene overflowing with homogenized sounds, Florida's LAST GREAT HOPE is pumping out rock and roll with an edge while keeping it fun which is a rare quality in music these days. LAST GREAT HOPE teeters between melody and mayhem on its debut album, 'Creatures Of Beauty'. LAST GREAT HOPE formed in early 2004 and began playing the Florida circuit soon there after, quickly establishing themselves as a premier act. In July 2004 the band entered the studio to record their debut release 'Creatures Of Beauty' . As an attempt to retain creative control, the band decided to track and produce the album indepently. LAST GREAT HOPE brought in engineer/producer Scott Burns (Sepultura, Savatage, Obituary) to help with the mixing process. In September 2004 LAST GREAT HOPE had an album of 10 songs that has been said to be "all killer and no filler". There was still one more step in the process to make it complete. Mastering. LAST GREAT HOPE decided to turn ''Creatures Of Beauty' over to Tom Morris (Seven Mary Three, The Dixie Dregs, Saigon Kick) at Morrisound Studios in Tampa, FL to add the final touch. By October 2004 'Creatures Of Beauty' was complete. Such approaches with the do it yourself attitude make perfect sense with the understanding that half of LAST GREAT HOPE come from a punk rock background. Drummer Walt and Singer/Guitarist Doug both played in the popular hard-core/punk band No Fraud. Along with Walt and Doug, LAST GREAT HOPE's sound is rounded out by Guitarist Donny and bassist Joe. Collective influences such as The Dead Boys, The Ramones, and Motley Crue are evident with one listen to 'Creatures Of Beauty' .
