COALS' BIOGRAPHY Now living and performing in New York City,COALS originally hails from the African country of Zambia.Though his musical style is unique and defies categories,many have placed his sound into the Urban Rock/Soul genre.COALS sings writes,arranges, and produces all of his music and performs all guitar parts on the enclosed CD. While COALS’ musical image cannot be encapsulated by language,the following three descriptions come to mind when observing his act: Enlightened; Exotic; Original. Enlightened in that his lyrics are both mindful and poetic. COALS sings not just of love and romance but about deeper topics such as philosophy, social class, and zest for life. The lyrics resonate the Zenful mind and suggest a precociousness from such a young artist. The exotic side to COALS’ performance is radiated by his African roots, having moved to the States from Zambia only recently. He is a young man of few words, preferring to cultivate his energy for artistic release instead of mindless bantering.The result is a mystical radiance by which crowds are dazzled.
