简介
A magnum opus - 86 minutes of music in a 103 minute film. Eavesdrop (available on Itunes, Netflix, DVD) is Composer Christopher North's second collaboration with Writer/Director Matthew Miele. This 73 minute soundtrack compiles all the best tracks and offers similar experience to the film - that of being surrounded by intriguing ideas (themes), bristling improvisation (jazz versions of themes), lively characters (ensembles & instruments), punch lines (short bursts of music), conversations / inner monologues (duets, solos) and a love triangle (August's Sonata for Piano Trio.) 46 tracks (plus 14 Bonus) ranging from 6 seconds to 5 minutes place you in busy Manhattan Cafe with artists, chess players, an old married couple, a widow, film noir buffs, a bachelor and young couple on a first date being scored by a onlooking frustrated composer (a score within the score.) Recorded at NYC's Legacy Studios, this is incredible music played by world class musicians: Grammy noms Eroica Trio lead the way on the main theme and Sonata (Debussy, Beethoven), America's premier postclassical string quartet ETHEL on evocative scoring (with nods to B. Hermann and A. Copeland) joined by fellow Cdbaby Artist Harpist Carol Emanuel, and last but not least, the Eve's Bop quintet assembled to riff on all of the above.
