Korby Bohannon's music is quite, for lack of a better word, a mind-freak; over time, genres have been put in place to categorize music into different cliques, such as Hip-Hop, Rock, Metal, etc., but there is something about Korby's music that is hard to put a finger on. It's not as easy as listening to the intro and concluding that it's either a rock or hip-hop track. Korby's music is so intertwined with many genres and some come out more than others in different songs and even different parts of the song. The overall mood of the song may be alternative, but then breaks out with a hip-hop bridge and it completely surprises you, which is great! Korby's unique style of music and song structure keeps listeners on their toes and takes them on an emotional roller coaster within the song, and more importantly, throughout the duration of the album. It's really quite an experience to listen to Korby's music and he portrays it in a way that you somehow feel you're part of his life and you're in the situation in which he's writing about or you travel to a time in which you've experienced the same thing (or similar). In short, Korby Bohannon really speaks to and becomes part of the listener through his music and his "genre-fusion" makes it very easy for many different types of people to find something they are attracted to in each of the songs.
