简介
Referred to as the “Mandolin Maestro,” by Bluegrass Now magazine, Ashley Lewis is rocking the bluegrass and country world with her original songs and mandolin magic! Her musical influences are derived from a bluegrass heritage in Kentucky, and evidence of this legacy appears in the words and music of her songs. Known for sparkling vocals and dynamic mandolin and fiddle performances, Ashley is also a profound songwriter. By blending a variety of mandolin styles and her own rhythmic techniques, she has developed a unique sound that is true to the traditional roots of bluegrass with her own zesty flair added. Award winning artist, Dale Ann Bradley, comments on Ashley’s CD, “I sat there with a smile on my face the whole time. You are a natural! You have the beauty in your heart and it comes through in your music.” Produced by Danny Roberts and Jimmy Mattingly, the title track of her single , Here I Stand, illustrates strength within and embodies the power to pursue dreams. This compelling song is accomplished with Ashley’s reflective songwriting skills and impassioned vocals, along with Bluegrass Band of the Year, the Grascals. Adding harmony to the project is Grascal vocalist, Jamie Johnson. True to its name, the bonus track, Cascade, mirrors a fast falling mountain stream coursing over boulders and forming waterfalls. Ashley’s fiery and clean mandolin breaks take listeners on a resplendent journey. Other musicians adding their instrumental proficiency to the album are Aaron McDaris, Danny Roberts, Jamie Johnson, Jimmy Mattingly, Terry Smith, Tony Wray, and Female Vocalist of the Year, DaleAnn Bradley. Photography for the project is by Sandy Campbell.
