Raise It Up Bring It Down combines the best of Beth's secular and spiritual writing into one CD. Beth's faithful band with the edition of John Demarkis on drums, really makes an imprint on the arrangements of these tunes. Everybody is grooving and singing like never before. The group is tight and really invested in the sound of the album. The energy is unmistakably positive and the album has more of a rock feel than previous Schafer works. The song "Prayer of the Workin' Man" debuted for President Barak Obama during his historic campaign, has been met with rave reviews and has already placed in the Indie International Song Competition.
