by Alan EsherThis Swedish industrial rockers self titled first album is somewhat of a mystery to me. On one side Tim Skold has a tendency to over due it "its dark and I'm lonely/so cold so alone" to the point were we question his sincerity. I mean is he really this bummed out, or is he just trying to tap into the incredibly dark overtones that Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor explores so deeply on his own brand of industrial music? To tell you the truth I like Tim Skold. I think he's got talent and his music, though cliché at times, is almost always interesting and he knows how to rock which some people would say is all you need. He is in kmfdm now and this will probably be all we hear from him solo for a long time, him and Sascha (of kmfdm) have really seemed to hit it off and will probably be working together quite a lot. But anyway, good album -- not really ground breaking -- but it doesn't fall on its ass either.
