Twelve years ago, a youth pastor had a desire to introduce his young people to a style of music that he had always loved, Southern Gospel. Little did David Wiggins know that this would be the beginning of a ministry that would still be affecting lives over a decade later. Fresh Anointing was formed when several of these youth stepped out in an ensemble to perform with David outside their home church. No longer youth, these young people have now become husbands, wives, and now moms and dads. They have also grown into mature men and women of God that allow Him to be used through their talents and testimonies. While traveling all over the country the past few years, Fresh Anointing has coined the phrase “Getting Real With God”. Through their music and live performance Fresh Anointing has made it their goal to challenge everyone to do a self-evaluation of their relationship with Jesus Christ. Fresh Anointing’s main purpose in their ministry is seeing lost souls receive redemption that only comes through true repentance and committing themselves to Jesus Christ. Their second purpose would be to encourage Christians to keep Christ first in their lives, and to have a personal relationship with Him. God has blessed Fresh Anointing so greatly because they seek His will first in this ministry that He has called them into. Classifying Fresh Anointing’s music into one particular genre of Christian Music has been a tough task for most these days. With their music repertoire ranging from toe-tapping Southern Gospel to some of today’s more modern Praise and Worship, they have been able to reach out and minister to a very diverse group of gospel music fans.
