简介

1. Oh Tamara (4:03) A queeny breakup song with multiple personality disorder. "Now I've found love has a ghost Comes around wearing your clothes Telling me just how little I know 'Cause I just wanna see you tonight." 2. Don't Come Back To Me (5:32) An uncomfortably close look at the emotional detachment it can take to call a relationship over. "Can you keep a secret? I don't love you anymore." 3. Diamonds Into Dust (3:53) An odd-time odyssey from reminiscence to spite. "Now I know you're a diamond too Only the real thing could cut like you." 4. Blowin' Away (4:06) A smoky barroom swank in 7/8 stumbles into a skeleton speakeasy swing - and back. "Life can be ruthless But you can't make excuses Gotta move when you hear the music." 5. Beggar By The Weekend (4:04) A cynical swing counting the woes of the average life and wondering after a brighter side. "Maybe here and now's the Eden we been seekin'." 6. The Gold is Gone (4:02) A dusty acoustic ballad of broken-down love set in a western ghost town. "We held our hearts like shovels in our hands." 7. Running In Place (5:10) A post-disco fit over the b**ch you love to judge but you can't get enough of. "His kick drum heart beats boom boom break And you leave another lover boy dead on the dance floor." 8. Wishful Drinking (3:21) An edgy blues-rock that spirals nauseatingly out of control and crashes into an eery moment of clarity, like a drunk leveling with himself in the bathroom mirror before stumbling back out into the street. "All my blissful thinking Thinking I've moved on Is only wishful drinking When the night becomes the dawn." 9. It Won't Be Long (4:42) A grizzly monster funk sung in three-part harmony, like three heads, warning of death's imminence and the need to consider your legacy while there's still time. "Will all our ashes scatter After someone's G-d drops the bomb? Will it ever matter Who is left or right or wrong?" 10. All The Devil's Sons (4:52) A dark reggae-rock about two families living parallel lives in warring countries. A heartbreaking report of their common faith, fear, hatred, and ultimate humanness. "All the king's horses All the king's men Couldn't put the kingdom Together again." 11. Light In The Dark (4:37) A rippling piano, reminiscent of Phillip Glass, makes an ethereal bed for this hymn to spiritual growth. "Sometimes the glow at the end of the tunnel is a train."
