简介
Carol Lockridge is originally from Detroit, Michigan. She has been playing the piano and singing since the age of 3 and still loves to sing to this day! This album consists of 11 songs that are close to the heart of Carol Lockridge because some of the songs really do ring true like the song "Seven Years Old". This song was wrote about her son who was killed on the way to school in 1987, and he actually was seven years old. It took 20 years to write it because it was so hard to accept. Sometimes this is the way to release it and "let it go". "Off the Chain" was a song that tells someone you are tired of the cheating, just take me off this chain! "You are my Miracle" was wrote about a handsome suave gentleman who walked past her house every day and whom she watched and was too shy to say anything, so this is the song wrote from that incident. "Walking a Thin Line" was one of the original songs that was sung at the 2006 Indiana Blues Challenge in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Slippery Noodle when Carol Lockridge and Friends won the Indiana Blues Challenge and went on to Memphis, Tennessee for the International Blues Challenge. They did not win there but it felt good to be with so much talent Good Food, and Blues! "Single" is a song of a "let me do my own thing" kind of song. I'm single and loving it!! One song, "You're So Special to Me" is listed twice because it is done with music and then in A Capella. Carol Lockridge was also voted the "Blues Woman of the Year" for 2010 by the Indiana Blues Society. She is looking forward to more good things in her new CD "You Make Me Blue". This is an album you are sure to enjoy, whatever your mood, so ENJOY!
