Dunava is a Seattle-based women's vocal ensemble specializing in the a cappella folk music of the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Founded in 2005, Dunava is made up of nine women from diverse musical backgrounds who all share a passion for distinct and beautiful harmonies and unusual rhythms. The group performs regularly at regional folk music festivals, does educational presentations, and collaborates with other local Balkan musicians and groups (some of whom are featured on our CD).
