If the Raw Fusion club night has a counterpart in any part of the world it would be in Mainz, Germany. Soulparlor with their "You move nothing if you don't move yourself" motto says all about their debut release on Raw Fusion Recordings. They incorporate the original funk, broken down to pieces of a dream about jazz, afro folk, Roy Ayers flipping on the xylophone and Carl Craig joining in to bug you out of your bassbin! Almost getting a feel of being swept away to the Caribbean with the first groove "Back Up Train", listening to a blend of classical strokes and funky brass. Travelling just a bit further up north to the dark alleys of the American South and grooving to some bugged out jazz strips with a raw contrabass you'll feel up to a mile away in "In Harmony". And lastly a big thank you to Detroit raised New Zeeland resident, Recloose, for flipping the original (that joins Broken Beat and Techno with class) into a 4/4 beat under heavy pressure that will take you as close to the Detroit Techno family as you can possibly get!
