Le Diva Scarlet nascono nel 2001 a Bologna dalle ceneri del vecchio gruppo (chiamato Skummer) già impegnato in più di 200 concerti con un mini EP di tre pezzi all'attivo. Il primo album , "Apparenze", esce per Mescal nel Luglio 2004 e riscuote giudizi positivi dalla stampa e dal web (Mucchio selvaggio, Venerdì di Repubblica, Rockit, Mescalina ecc...). Il disco viene presentato al Tora!Tora! Festival di Genova e promosso nei rock club di tutta Italia durante il tour promozionale che vede la band suonare in più di 80 date condividendo il palco con Afterhours, Marlene Kuntz, Cristina Donà, Subsonica, Morgan, Massimo Volume, The Vines e tantissimi altri. Il live delle Diva Scarlet è essenziale e potente, la line up è classica: batteria, basso, due chitarre e una voce; il pubblico e la critica non tardano ad apprezzare il loro sound e la loro carica istintiva affiancata da testi in italiano e melodie molto curati. Conducono due puntate di Database su Rock Tv, partecipano al Roxy Bar e a numerose trasmissioni radiofoniche. Il tour "Apparenze" termina nel 2006, il gruppo si allontana dalla Mescal e comincia a lavorare al secondo album affidando a Giulio Ragno Favero la produzione artistica. Il disco viene inciso nel Febbraio 2007 con diverse collaborazioni tra cui quella dello stesso Giulio Ragno Favero e Moltheni.
