About “Eviolonogue” “Eviolonogue” is a six-track extended play album conceptualized and executively produced by Singapore’s first Yamaha Electric Strings Artist, Han Oh. Inspired by his love for creative music platforms, Han has created a plethora of new sounds and colors, combining and enhancing the tonal palette of both the violin and viola. Drawing on Han’s expertise and his creativity on the electric strings platform, this album explores and demonstrates the versatility of styles and sounds on the electric violin, redefining its place in the modern creative musical arts as well as commercial entertainment arts. Aptly titled “Eviolonogue”, this album expresses the empowerment and the liberation of the electric strings genre, allowing art and music to be fully explored free of the limits and expectations of the “classical string tradition” stigma. This newly invented platform is arguably the first of its kind internationally. The idea of “Eviolonogue”, a portmanteau inspired by the words E-violin and Monologue, was founded on Han’s conviction to collaborate with his fellow Singaporean colleagues, who are also top musicians in their own right, to compose and produce the tracks for an all-Singaporean album. Taking pride in the creativity and abilities of his dear friends whom he has worked closely with since his return from the U.S, “Eviolonogue” is produced by three of the most prominent musician-producers in the Singaporean music industry.
