The 30th release from MFR Records comes in the form of The Remix EP from Calle Lebraun. Five generous tracks remixed with guest production from fellow MFR family members Harry Ley and Retrosynths. Calle provides two VIP mixes, the first to Sometimes I, this time using a range of subtle effects to escalate the tone within the track. The Manchester born producer also demonstrates a change in the addictive Back To Calle for the VIP mix, using crescendos throughout the track and a bass so bouncy it’ll groove its way into your limbs, Back To Calle VIP will lock into your brain long after the track is over. Skipping midway through the EP, Because Of Me see’s a remix with a solid kicks and muzzled sample chops ready to create a semi trans-dimensional atmosphere in any club. Do Me Like That gets a re-work from MFR’s Harry Ley. Putting his stamp on the track, Harry has an impressive breadth of style, balancing house and electro, you’ll be sure to hear surging electro synths and prickly hi hats deep in the track to keep it all very absorbable. Second guest remixer, Retrosynths, closes The Remix EP by switching up Sometimes I. Adding in a hollow and deep vocal sample, contrasted with light synths, its all very melodic. We wouldn't blame you if you got into an early carnival spirit listening to this one. The Remix EP will be available to purchase from 20th March 2015.
