Benjamin Carr is a Southern Vermont resident bred in the Philadelphia and New Orleans music scenes. Carr's multi-instrumental abilities allow him to create diverse compositions of funky 'ukulele jazz, full drum orchestrations and progressive rock. Ben's music has been described as 'a genre-evading journey through sound' and 'a unique brand of rootsy, funky, eclectic melodies'.

Ben's third solo release, Oakleaf, was recorded in a large performance theatre and stays true to the natural acoustic sounds of the instruments in the hall. The result is an extremely warm sounding album with natural reverb and no overdubs or effects processing. This album embraces his love of the 'ukulele and the heart of his various drumming styles.
