Born in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, this self-taught musician has been playing the saxophone for over two decades. Rob's musical journey began when as a young man while on his paper route found a Cannonball Adderly record someone was throwing away. By his early teens Rob was playing the trumpet in various bands, he later switched to playing the alto and now plays soprano and tenor saxophones. Rob has shared the stage with several local artist such as Walter Beasley and Élan Trotman, he has also performed at many venues in New England. Rob's musical influences are from a wide range of artists such as: Grover Washington Jr Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum, Najee , Everett Harp, Walter Beasley, Andre Ward, Courtney Pine, George Howard, Art Porter Cannonball Adderly, Charlie Parker, Hank Mobley, Sonny Rollins and the list goes on! 2008 this Boston based composer and arranger's dream became a reality with the release of his debut album "It's In Your Hands". An RWM Production, this smooth jazz album has a bit of reggae and R& B thrown in with a gospel twist. His debut Cd is currently in rotation with several Internet radio station and local radio stations and be purchased on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, emusic and Cd Freedom. Currently Rob is writing new songs and is back in the studio with renowned producer Gordon Worthy. April 1st he released his first single from his sophomore Cd project, his second Cd "Hear Right Now " this Cd will be smooth, warm, appealing to the ear and will feature local artists to compliment Robs style.
