The band’s original songs “Her Beauty Would Hold,” “Home,” “Tight,” and “Flights of Fancy” have been singled out as The Doctors’ most-requested favorites. Still, Hemingway insists that the band has never written or created music with any particular format in mind. “When we write a song, we just write it,” he said. “We don’t think about what kind of music it is. We just play whatever comes out. We don’t have a format. We don’t want one.” The Root Doctors are committed to keeping their content consistently fresh and their level of showmanship high. “Creating new music remains high on our agenda, but we also will continue to perform our favorite classic dance and party tunes. We enjoy them as much as the fans do,” Hemingway said. “Our fans have been phenomenal, and The Doctors always have been about pleasing a crowd.”
