简介
Jacuzzi Fuzz’s new album The Best Worst-Case Scenario has lots of great rock moments, with rapid-fire guitar licks, funky bass grooves and hard-hitting drum beats. At the same time, a lot of the album is pretty relaxing to listen to, with songs like Vibrance and Saturation, and Opium Den. Andy Clavijo’s vocals sound great, even when he’s singing cryptic lyrics like, “Our economy isn’t free it costs dollars,” on the last song of the album, It’s Only Right. My favorite tracks of the album were one and ten, which were actually the same song – Milton’s Revenge, and a dub mix of it. Milton’s Revenge is funny, bringing up thoughts of the movie Office Space with lyrics like “I could drive right through your wall, I could go ahead and end it all, but I won’t – but I can – no I won’t that’s the easy way out... I could burn the building down; I could mail you a letter bomb.” It’s got a great guitar hook, and a good beat too, a catchy tune – I can see why the band chose this one to remix. Another song I liked was Frankenstein, which has a really funky bass line that caught my attention. Jacuzzi Fuzz has a versatile sound that can be in your face or laid back just chillin’ next to you on the couch, and the band sounds pretty good in both modes. Joseph Fantozzi The Pier.org
