简介
My first EP, for me, tells a story of events and emotions I've experienced in the last year. All of the music I recorded for it is played on the Acoustic Guitar, I like to think my genre is very "Punk Goes Acoustic" style. I feel it's very up for interpretation though. The writing process began in January 2015, when I wrote "Reverie", the closing track of the album. Even though it was well over a year ago, I can vividly remember the emotions I felt whilst writing it. I realised at that moment that music was something I had truly fallen in love with, and wanted to keep with me forever. "Reverie" is my favourite track from this EP and the meaning to me is something private and I like to think that everyone can apply there own personal meaning to it as well. Other songs, like "Wait On Me" or "If I Could Look Back" tell completely different stories but hold the same level of emotion. I put so much thought and passion into each word I put down. A wild card for the EP would be "The Revolution", which is an originally composed instrumental piece. It's quite short but I feel like it has its own imagery and story to tell despite there being no words to the song at all. It's definitely one of my favourites. The one song I haven't spoken about from the EP is "Quarantine". This song I wrote mid 2015 tells another story that actually strongly links with "If I Could Look Back". When I started performing live in pubs and at other events, this was my go-to song all the time. I'm very excited to release a recorded version out into the public! Music, overall, for me, is simply my life. I can't think of anything I can feel more passionate about. I am extremely excited to release my first EP out into the public. Countless hours of writing, recording and mixing went into this and I can't give enough thanks to everyone who has inspired and encouraged me to keep working and everyone who listens to my music now and in time to come. I have insanely high hopes for the future, and I'm excited to be finally taking the first step.
