Colombian electronic purveyor, Sexy Lucy, release a new album that contains varied dance, electronic, and alternative songs in a contemporary context. There are eleven songs that contain some Spanish lyrics, but English lyrics are most prevalent. The music is creative, amped-up cumbia music with a strong electronic presence that contains some up-tempo rhythms, eerie robotics, and multi-faceted instrumentation that is party-like and spacey.

Colombia’s Sexy Lucy is a grand dance and electronic group that effectively transcends time and space with their latest release, Andromeda. The incredible mix of sounds prevents the music from falling into a ho-hum musical rut. The varied noises, melodies, and grooves are ear-catching and dance-friendly. Some of the vocals are drowned out on purpose or accident on some of the tracks, but the entire album has enough different elements to keep many seriously satisfied. Andromeda may sound like it is from another galaxy…but it is still from this planet.
