L.E.A.D. Life. Endurance. Ability. Do-It (Pronounced - 'Led') Many artists struggle to establish their musical identity, laboriously trying on different musical styles. But there are others that emerge fully formed, in full command of identity and music. L.E.A.D. fits firmly in the latter. His new Self-titled Ep 'LIFE ENDURANCE ABILITY DO IT' is captivating and a moving debut epitomizing the reality of many people. L.E.A.D. a passionate fearless individual talented and entertaining performer with heart felt music . Born Darron Cole on December 1, 1988, at the University College Hospital of Kingston Jamaica. Darron grew up in the urban part of Jamaica in Braeton, Portmore St. Catherine . At the tender age of 8 he was an active member of Portmore Church of God, where he was a Youth Minister and a member of the Church Choir. He was often the lead vocalist at many crusades and conventions. During these tender years for fun he would often joke around with friends pretending to be in a band hitting pots and pans and making songs as they went along. Darron would go on to Ardenne High School, where he would find his love and passion for the art of music. "I started to write and record my demo tracks drawing inspiration from my favorite artists." L.E.A.D. explained "My dad was an old skool DeeJay 'Bucky Marshall' who loved playing 80's 70's disco and soul; so i had a huge music library at my disposal." "Music is embedded in most of my childhood memories." Many evenings, free periods and truant sessions were spent dee-jaying, free styling, rapping and sing-jaying, he also had away to make up lyric’s and songs that would get you thinking and singing along. After graduating Ardenne High School in 2005, He furthered his studies at the University of West Indies from 2006-2007 where he studied sociology and economics, he would also record his very first song “Show Me What You Got” the same year. Darron is a very animated energetic individual. He has graced the stages at Teen Splash, Island Explosion, Stars R Us, and many local stage-shows. In the Latter of 2006, he performed on the popular morning show “Smile Jamaica” a televised programme on Jamaican TV (TVJ). He was a contestant on the live TV show "Magnum Kings & Queens of the Dance Hall" in 2011, where he was also a top ten finalist. Though his departure was premature he still managed to wow the hearts and minds of the public, receiving raving reviews saying “his style is fresh and hip to the new generation, rap like but very lyrical and very catchy” the Jamaica Star (newspaper) . In February 2013 he shared stages with one of his mentors the very prominent veteran reggae artist 'Sizzla Kalonji' at Maddest and baddest in Action Trelawny Jamaica. In July 2013 released debut ep Life Endurance Ability Do-It L.E.A.D. Life Endurance Ability Do-It ep is very resolute, resilient, revolutionary but most of all 'Real'. From track one 'All fi Themselves' which addresses the disadvantages of capitalism on society to 'Pressure Is On' describing the state of mind of the people to 'Good-Bye' the heart-felt woes of losing a loved one. The seven tracks journey to articulates a very explicit untainted story of reality. Unanimously calling for unity as a people. The reggae/hiphop fusion instrumentals helps showcase his lyrical capabilities and versatility. In the art of Music, Darron has immense love and respect for those who have endured the journey and have paved the way for him. His influence spans from International Acts like Michael Jackson, to Reggae Icons like Bob Marley Dennis Brown and Dancehall legends like Shabba Ranks and SuperCat. Ultimately he aims is emulate the impact they have made while carving his own path and continue the trend of making great music for the people now and for generations to come.
