Yo what's good people, it's yours truly...James...also known as TOESTAH...I'm a 16 year old Rapper, Attending El Monte High School (Junior), basically i have 3 loves in my life, Family, Basketball, and Music. Besides the whole rap thing, i also love to SIINNGG, i've been in my schools Acapella Choir for 3 years now, and next year will be my 4th and last year... and yea im finally up on this myspace ish (www.myspace.com/toestah) ...Check out the new joints on the myspace music player...i'll be updating it every so often so keep ya eyes glued to my page. Basically everything started from a silly freestyle battle in middle school. And soon after that i wanted to elevate my game. That's when I got into writing actual verses and songs. Doing the whole 16 bar ish. And before I knew it when I was 14 I released my first ever MIXTAPE CD. It was a wild accomplishment for me, even though now I look back and it's a bit embarrassing. haha. But now things are totally different, in the summer of 2005 I met 3 Talented individuals, who would soon be my crew mates. Instro, Claim, and Sevirr. The 3 are much older than me, Instro (24) Claim (23) and Sevirr (25). But there wisdom towards music, is basically the reason why Im here today. They took me under their wings as a prodigy, and guided me through all the right steps in becoming an artist. SHOUT OUT TO THE WHOLE RAILROAD PROJECT CREW!!! HOLLA AT YOUR GOD!!! ACK!!! "THE DEFINITION OF TOESTAH" -as for the music i make, i try to combine all the aspects of hip hop into what i consider "MY MUSIC"...For example, growing up with the hip hop lifestyle, i was exposed to the 2 worlds of hip hop...The underground scene and the mainstream hip hop scene...My uncle timmy has always been a huge influence to my music; he pretty much influenced me to love and respect the art of underground hip hop...but at the same time as i was replaying joints from kweli, mos def, and a tribe called quest...i was also "always" on top of the mainstream music scene...Which brings me to the type of Music i make. I'm all about making new things happen' and when you hear my songs, im trying to give your ears the fusion of both the underground feel, and the mainstream music...that is the Definition of TOESTAH...
