'Forever and Always' is an album of pure pop perfection. Treading the path of other singer-songwriters, such as Taylor Swift and Kate Voegele, Tallulah fits snugly into the current trend of girls who do it all for themselves; writing and singing their own songs. With a sound that so often appeals to the 'tween' generation, Tallulah transcends the boundaries between the kids glued to the Disney channel and the girls on the college campuses, with lyrics that delve deeper than much of the generic words that tend to over-populate the charts. The album has an American feel, with acoustic ballads that transport you to a sunny Californian beach and while most of the songs are laced with a soft-rock tinge, track seven surprises with an R'n'B flavour. Tallulah’s voice has a variety of soft tones to it that share similarities with Michelle Branch and Ashlee Simpson, while the vocals towards the end of track nine are reminiscent of Mariah Carey. This is the type of college pop-rock album Miley Cyrus will hope to make after she graduates from the Disney High School of Fame. (Daddy) Send Me An Angel Nostalgic, heartfelt, beautifully delicate, tugs at the heartstrings. 10. What Lies Between Us Wistful, thoughtful of what could be but with a nagging despondence. 11.
