Random Rab CD album review : AROSE 2009 _________________________________________________________ In this latest release, Rab brings us heightened musical juices with a sexy, playful, sleek dream of soft hued sound. It’s emotive and moody with soft bass tones and poignant lyrics sung by silken, sophisticated voices. Original and distinct, “AROSE” compares to the romance of a rose in bloom. This CD is a martini generously blended and gorgeously endowed with spirit. There is a subtle minimalism and fresh, creative depth to it. But there are also dramatic crescendos and sporadic sonographic clips that captivate and inspire memory. Every time I listen to this album, something different jumps out its packed so richly with tunes. Fall in love with all the little dribbly flute bits and old world flavor, besides the damn sweet eclectic gypsy clamoring into techno full onslaught hecticness. Melodies haunt and cling to filaments of the day. Rab managed to master an assorted collection of music genres from reticent bangra fused hip hop to gypsy; from funk to devotional music and classic beats. Like a fluffy picnic in the park on a sunny day, feel heart wings in your ribcage stir with this suitably unplugged album. The release of “AROSE” reveals a collection of undisturbed whimsy and musical inspiration that shimmers and glistens like a soap bubble. It’s beautiful and amazing.
