19 year old artist/producer from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mato Wayuhi's sound is raw, multifaceted, and mature far past his age. His songs range in various topics, such as depicting a youthful affection for his lover in the jazzy, soulful, "Pink Summertime," to an emotional disdain regarding the historical and current treatment of his Native American relatives and ancestors in the lyrically impressive, "Wildberry Poptart." Mato hopes that his music will inspire other young Native artists to trust their creativity, while simultaneously paying homage to the culture that raised him. Currently, he is a freshman at the University of Southern California, hoping to study both music and film.
