////////// VISIT US ON WWW.JULIET.CL ////////////// "The Step" is the debut album of this Santiago indie rock band. From the first drum beats starting the road of this nine songs, the band performs with a sound and a mark closely linked to the indie scene of the nineties, dragged vocals and guitars as simple in form as abundant in sound. Immediately its ability to structure naturally, catchy melodies, cleverly contained in that top opening large choirs, notice their radial vocation. Lyrics that speak reproachfully and in a spirit of self-affirmation regarding worn relationships that need to be ended. Here disenchantment occupies most of the lines, but what remains as sensation, is the refusal to feel parked and searching, largely by default, to a better place. One of fast/dance songs, "That Dirty" , is the promotional single, which shows nods to classic '70s punk, of solid and insistent guitar playing, but on a rhythm that does not neglect the intention of dancing; recurring element in several songs and making ends own group identity. Part of the soundtrack of the film "Joven y Alocada" of Marialy Rivas, and also features a video clip produced by Mane Rosello and Piero Medone. Ro, Juliet's lead singer and guitarist of the band, which was putting together on the fly while the album was produced in 2011. Adapting to the situation, they got featured guest musicians such as Goto, of "La Mala Senda" in the role of a music producer and recording some guitars; Leonardo Guzman, former bassist of the same group, as well as Claudio Fierro, former malls in "Alamedas", bands well known on the chilean indie scene. With clean looks throughout the record, a surprisingly mature debut album, and a proposal framed within an aesthetic effect and many followers, Juliet enters the scene with a cover letter attractive and all necessary tools to forge a rapidly ascending career.
