The Waimea Transfer Station album was entirely conceived, written, and recorded in the North Kohala region of the island of Hawaii. Music originating from mainland soul, jazz and funk groups such as MMW, Soulive, and Greyboy Allstars is transformed by natural and traditional Hawaiian influences. Andy Schultz's vocal imagery and keyboard exploration is brought to life with the percussive styling of Chris Wilson.
