The 2nd release from Sydney-based Pete McDonald again features accessible, melodic music in a quintet form. This album covers a wide range of styles from swing and funk, through to a moving tenor saxophone ballad (Ingenue) and even a hint of Gaelic (Aislinn). The aim of Pete McDonald's music has always been to provide tunes that have a strong underlying groove, and an equally strong sense of melody. Whereas Pete's first album featured mostly piano, this album also features 3 tracks with the Hammond and Wurlitzer, whilst still carrying a strong link to the piano.
