简介

TWISTED TROUBADOUR Eric Klingler's wry sense of humor is brought out in his 2004 CD, "Twisted Troubadour". With songs like "Love Don't Do The Things You Do', Eric's blend of folk, blues and humor shine through his songs with graphic metaphor, melodic verse and chorus that all flow together. Eric Klingler is songwriter, lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and co-producer. Paul Thomas is instrumentalist on bass, drums, and keyboard, in addition to engineer and producer. Along with Eric's busy production schedule, he also performs at Uncommon Grounds, House of Joe, and Cool Beans in Melbourne, FL, and other venues in Orlando, including Natura, in addition to The Munchie, in Eric's hometown, Fort Wayne, IN. Eric was born in Indiana, where his musical gifts were discovered early, performing in the seventh grade choir. He was educated for five years under the guidance of jazz virtuoso, Chris Phaebus, studying guitar and music theory. By the 1980's he began to put it all together with his song writing skills, inspired by the Beatles and Genesis. Since then, he has written over two hundred songs and continues to hone his skills in a number of styles. Eric's drive to go solo took him to a number of Florida and Indiana venues, performing original tunes, where he has a growing base of loyal fans. By the mid-90s, Eric became a prolific songwriter, creating a wide variety of musical genres working with two song-writing teams, Screaming Beef Productions and Big Blue. In 1999, he recorded singles at Escondido Studios, and then by 2003, was ready to begin his debut CD, Twisted Troubadour, which was released in March of 2004. This CD includes a sampling of the variety of styles in Eric's repertoire. His wry sense of humor shines through in songs like "Yes Dear", about a hen pecked husband who paints his wife's toenails and watches only her TV shows. Graphic metaphors of tainted or lost loves come together in the production of "Goodbye Day" and "Losing Side of Love". In a recent performance at Uncommon Grounds, Eric's fans surprised him in a collaborative effort by all showing up wearing "Twisted Troubadour" tee shirts. Eric's growing list of fans may be happy to know that his second CD, "Bald Headed Fart With A Bad Attitude" will be released in April of 2005. Check CDBaby soon for the new CD.
