Tree of Life is a wonderful and unique musical group built around the talents of Steve and Kristi Moore, and with an occasional ever-changing makeup of other friends joining in. Steve is a long-time prolific singer/songwriter, writing, singing, and playing his homegrown, organic “trance-folk” music and stories to a broad audience. His all-original poetic, engaging songs have captivated audiences from coffee houses, churches, bars, festivals, fundraisers, and living rooms. Being described as having his finger on the pulse of the common man, his original songs like “Auto Plant,” “Marion”, “Into the Woods,” “Anything,” and “Without Warning,” speak of work, love, life, and the planet Earth. In addition, he has had three songs produced and recorded by nationally-renowned Austin producer and Americana artist Gurf Morlix. These songs include his ballad “Marion,” which celebrates his childhood in our community. This hometown song has enjoyed quite a lot of local airplay and interest, and his album “Without Warning” is receiving great reviews. Kristi Sue Moore has an extensive musical background as a show-choir vocalist and is also a multi-instrumentalist and creates the core sound of the group, doing harmony vocals, keyboards, flute, bass guitar, hand drums, and percussion.
