Concert pianist John Thomson and jazz guitarist Martin Bowie began writing and performing together in 2011.

This album brings together a synthesis of styles and backgrounds to create a highly visual and evocative contemporary sound. Matador is a flamenco inspired piece evoking the ultimate spanish showdown. Dragon Fly Dance is moving towards the avant garde and maps the seemingly frenetic flight of the beautiful insect.

Prague is the only track to break away from purely guitar and piano with strings added making this a powerfully emotional piece. The last two pieces capture the feeling of autumn and winter respectively, bringing the album to a beautiful conclusion.
