简介
Marks musical interests began at an early age at his home in Baker Oregon but it wasn't until after high school while stationed at a U.S. Air Force base in Germany that success in songwriting and public performing really began. His performance of his first song titled "Another Day" won a place at the base talent show in 1983, and a paid week off work to compete at the regional level. According to Mark, "Getting a week off work for a song, felt pretty good." After Germany Mark's travels and his music led him onboard a freight ship bound for New Zealand and Australia. He played various venues from Auckland to Queenstown and from Melbourne to Brisbane over his two year trip. He was hired for example, by the Melbourne city council to lead a band of musicians in a performance of the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album, on the 20th anniversary of the albums release. The event attracted national media attention and was a great success. In addition to his many other venues, Mark was also hired by the Christchurch, New Zealand city council, along with other local celebrity musicians, to play for various open air concerts held in the city square. Back in the States, Mark has continued work on his songwriting and performing, completing his first CD, "The Soul Reason," sharing his music in various Portland, Oregon locations, and has completed his second cd "One Peace at a time" and is currently working on two other projects due for release soon! So... STAY TUNED!
