Recently ranked as one of the nation’s Top Ten Classical Music Festivals by The New York Times, the Grand Teton Music Festival has been serving the Jackson Hole community for more than 55 years. Each season, more than 200 musicians from North America’s top orchestras gather for seven weeks of orchestral and chamber music led by internationally acclaimed Music Director Donald Runnicles. The biggest names in classical music appear with the Festival Orchestra, including Renée Fleming, Joshua Bell, Yefim Bronfman, and Yo-Yo Ma. The summer lineup includes an expanding roster of events including free family concerts, classical crossover concerts, and a weekly movie series presented in traditional and non-traditional venues throughout Jackson Hole. The music does not end after the summer season comes to a close. GTMF conducts various educational outreach programs in local schools and presents a Winter Festival in February as well as monthly broadcasts from The Metropolitan Opera's Live in HD series. Through its year-round schedule of diverse programming and passion for classical music, GTMF creates exhilarating and memorable musical experiences. The Grand Teton Music Festival is the single largest presenter of cultural events in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, reaching a total audience of 16,000 patrons each year.
