-Youngest of two girls, born in Washington, DC. Product of single parent, into a family of alcoholism, poverty, and teenage pregnancy, Yvonne had to find her way through life on her own, dropping out of school to support her family. A love for “singing” was always there and kept me alive! “My heartfelt description of “singing” is like drinking water, you must have it, it’s the only thing that quenches a real thirst, and you will die without it. Holding on to that dream to this day comforts me in my desert places in this life. Being influenced by Pattie Labelle, Chaka Khan, Joyce Kennedy of Mother’s Finest, and Natalie Cole, and now inspired by artist in the gospel, Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, Tamela Mann, and others, Going from clubs, show cases, and countless other competitions and holding on to making singing my livelihood was the ticket, but life brings many struggles and pitfalls, constant circumstance held the career back. Dealing with sadness, depressions, and a big void in her life, and heart, a gentleman and his wife introduced her to Jesus Christ. The Lord filled her with his spirit, and changed her life. Yvonne has performed and opened for a host of artist, and is In the process of writing a book entitled “Church Hurt",and a biography “Entitled what to do when Love fails you”. My specific call to the ministry is outreach. Singing is my delicacy, rare but the best dish. I plan on fulfilling the call of God to reach the lost, and the dream of singing will come to pass!
