‘Singing Sam and the Seedlings’ create music for children and their families. ‘The Seedlings’ consist of several extremely talented, classically trained multi-instrumentalists as well as a hip-hop pioneer and a longtime veteran of the folk/rock scene. Together, we strive to create an uplifting, highly unique sound while managing to convey age old wisdom and never forgetting to bring a good time. Our debut album, ‘One Big Happy Family’, is a heartwarming, foot stomping, thought provoking slice of life. The album and its many messages are currently being turned into a school curriculum by several well respected, long time educators. We also offer workshops under the guidance of ‘Seedling’ Jeremy Stevens. Jeremy has a Master’s Degree in Music Therapy and a true gift for teaching. The workshops are engaging and light hearted with an emphasis on fun. Our goal is to help build confidence and encourage children to embrace their uniqueness, as well as develop their powers of creativity and cooperation. Workshops are available to pre-school children through fifth grade. We also welcome the opportunity to work with developmentally disabled children and adults. Here’s what we have to offer: •Super-sized Singing Sam and the Seedlings: This is our deluxe program; great for libraries, schools, resorts, parties, festivals, theaters and any super special event. This is ‘The Seedlings’ at their best and brightest. Although our numbers are less, it is always our goal to make all of our performances entertaining, interactive, learning experiences. •Solo Singing Sam: One man, one guitar, and a whole lot of soul. Singing Sam will show up just about anywhere with a song in his heart and a smile on his face. •Percussion and Songwriting Workshops: Jeremy leads the way with a little help from ‘Singing Sam’.
