It was a unique experience for Jason having never composed this way before. The lyrics were the sole inspiration and guide for all the music Jason composed. "I tried to put away any pre-conceived notions I might have about the type of record I wanted to make and just let the lyrics inform the chords and melodies. All songs were written with just an acoustic guitar initially as well and this is not a "guitar" album as one might expect from me.
