This music is an adventure, a travel experience through Africa. Five selections were composed for the Emmy winning National Geographic Television Special, "The Survivors of the Skeleton Coast." An additional five selections are from the acclaimed "Skeleton Coast Safari," a series of five telefilms produced for the Public Broadcasting System, based partly upon the success of the National Geographic Special. To this fine collection, the composer has contributed "Benguela Breeze" and "Mowe Bay Boats." While still visual, these two pieces are light and melodic and lend themselves to the environment of the Skeleton Coast. Neil Argo, recognized and highly regarded for his work in both motion pictures and television, has composed extensively for projects that include nature and the environment. His first assignment was the world-acclaimed Wild America Series, for which he composed the main theme and a large number of episodes (120 episode series). The production went on to become one of the most popular wildlife series ever in Public Broadcasting Television history. Neil has also scored television episodes of the popular National Geographic Explorer series.
