On February 1st, 2013, I woke up in California to a message from an ex-student in Slovakia telling me that a song I wrote had gone viral on Youtube and was being playing all over the TV and Radio in Slovakia. Why? Because I was a Californian who didn't know any Slovak, but I wrote a song entirely in Slovak dedicated to the three months i spent teaching in there. Even though the lyrics are roughly put together and don't make much sense, the people of Slovakia loved it and invited me back! Now i live in Bratislava where I continue to write music in Slovak and English. This album, (The Ontologist), is my debut album, which not only features several songs that have gone viral in Slovakia, but also many of my popular English songs. The album is a mix of catchy tunes with an organic sound, influenced heavily by international folk music and classic rock. The track "The Hum" features Martin Olson, widely known as head writer for Disney's hit show, Phineas and Ferb and author of the best-seller "Encyclopedia of Hell." The track "Book of Changes (Instrumental)" features a composition by popular singer/songwriter, Brian Rhodes, and was recorded and mixed at SBM Studios.
