You would think in the world of Hip-Hop and Rap beats, that pretty much every producer would say their favorited genre before producing was, rap and hip hop, go figure. What becomes apparent throughout this debut release by Arizona's own SoundRich, though it may not be obvious, is that he was never much into Hip-Hop or Rap, but rather, "knew what he wanted to hear" when he heard songs play over a good sound system. Given the time and dedication comes the freshman release "Origins". Comprised of 15 contrasting tracks spanning 2 beat collections over a year and a half, SoundRich gives us a glimpse into the seeding mind of a new aspiring producer. His passion is clearly aimed at the heavy hitting bangers with break neck snap snares, chest pounding 808 kick patterns, dazzling hi hats and eerie dark synths. Though through the tape's 15 songs, you don't feel like you're hearing the same thing twice. Intended for, primarily, rappers, or fans of rap music, SoundRich tries to keep things steady but also consistently evolving between verses and bars to not bore the listener, but to, "let the beat speak as much as the rapper" and leave an impression not felt by the regular plastic beats of today.
