Once again, Womblabel is blessed with some seriously beautiful music, and this time we go further into Ambient, with aris_h's new release. "Dek" is a 7-track Ambient piece, produced by Greek-born and Australian resident, Aris Hatzidakis. Built upon field recordings and sound synthesis, this is a carefully mixed and arranged journey though the most tranquil of soundscapes. The album begins in a slow, nurturing mood, through "Redo" and "Reform"'s rising and falling chords, setting the scene for one of the album's most beautiful tracks, "Aerial Freedom". "Slow Down" then marks a bit of a changing moment, as strange otherworldly sounds invite you to explore your surroundings before moving on to "Oval Drops of Sunshine". "9511 to Capital" comes with gigantic waves of sound, as if the journey brings you dangerously close to the realm of the gods... End track "My Dear Friend" brings us closer to reality, introducing beats in a wash of beautiful swirling melodies, which leave you wishing we could go on just a little bit longer...
