It's all about good songs and good songwriting. I wrote, recorded, and mixed this album from late 2015 to mid 2017. I wanted to make a rock & roll album with the traditional tools 'o the trade. You know- electric guitars, bass guitars, acoustic guitars, a drum kit, some decent mics, piano, organ, and a cucumber wrapped in tin foil in my pants. I like to write fun songs that make you feel good. Only on occasion do I attempt to write, like, super serious heart-on-the-sleeve type stuff. A sense of humor is a must in life, and since music is part of life, it's important in music too. I don't really go for most earnest musicians except Johnny Coltrane. He has this beautiful philosophy that says music is an instrument that can create thought patterns that change the way people think. That's some deep shit right there. So if you're gonna' take yourself really seriously, do it that way. Anyway, this album is the kind of album I like to hear. It's like my love letter to the type of rock and roll I enjoy.
