简介
The Doctor is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Raised on a steady diet of classic rock, blues, and psychedelic rock, these sounds worked their way into the songs on his debut CD "The Doctor Presents: Bourbon Devils". What's a Bourbon Devil, you ask? There are two definitions - a person who is mad for bourbon whiskey and how mean a man can get when he's had too much of that whiskey. Many of the songs on this CD were written from music heard in dreams. It's all from someplace else. Within the cauldron of his subconscious mind, The Doctor's musical influences combined years of listening to artists as diverse as Howling Wolf and Pink Floyd, into a reworking of tried and true early 70s era blues based rock and roll. The songs were then translated into reality with the help of friend, colleague, guitarist, engineer, and producer John Krauss, whose Kentucky background and British Rock influences fit the music perfectly. Enthusiasts of big guitar, driving songs, layered instrumentation, and 70s era style production will love this CD. It is particularly enjoyable to listen to using headphones! So kick back, pour yourself a glass of bourbon neat, and enjoy!
