Mike Dalager began the journey of writing and producing Bamboosway, Volume One in December of 2003, with the production of "Venus and Mars", track seven from his debut release, "Stories From A Lonely Highway." From that heartfelt recording session in North Hollywood, California (USA), the project gained momentum, ultimately spurring further recording sessions in Chicago, Illinois (USA), Stockholm, Sweden, San Jose, California (USA) and Barcelona, Spain. This global adventure in the creation of popular music combines the talents of over 25 different musicians from around the globe, ultimately resulting in a "World Pop" hybrid, fusing the freedom of American Rock to the drive of Euro Pop. This collection of songs is difficult to classify under one umbrella. Each tune has its own pulse. Each collaboration spiced with a variety of styles. A little bit of Euro Pop, a little Southern Rock, Adult Contemporary, Jazz Pop, Patriot Rock, and a dash of 70's and 80's inspiration. The collection is like a bowl of hot soup, warm with sincerity... the album is all heart. Bamboosway, Volume One was engineered by Bryan Davis at Clutch Studios in North Hollywood, California, while its top notch finishing touches were performed and mixed by Swedish Producers, Anders Ringman and Chris Laney of infamous Platform Studio in Stockholm, Sweden, giving the album its over-all signiture "Platform" sound.
