简介
“Casa Nägeli” (Karma Records, Publication 15.01.09) is the debut album of “Seefeld avec Mady” which, after the Nouvelle Vague genre, offers cover versions in a Chill-out mode. House songs (like Rui da Silva “Touch Me”) and Electro (Silicon Soul “Who Needs Sleep Tonight”; Goldenboy featuring Miss Kittin “Rippin Kittin”) are revived in a downbeat style and receive their own surprising twists. Perfectly timed for Christmas, this album ends with “Silent Night”. The lead vocalist of “Seefeld” is 26 year old, Rumanian, Madalina Raluca Horeanu - aka Mady. With her blonde hair and big green eyes, the 1.76m singer is an eye catcher! This debut album was recorded in Zurich’s Seefeld district and in the Zurichberg villa, “Casa Nägeli”. With “Casa Nägeli” (Karma Records, Publication 15.01.09), “Seefeld avec Mady” launches their debut album which, after the Nouvelle Vague genre, offers cover versions in a Chill-out mode. But, while the French focus on Punk and New Wave classics, this repertoire only overlaps these two genres in the track “Fade To Grey” (Visage). Otherwise, Seefeld mainly focuses on House songs (like Rui da Silva “Touch Me“; Charles Webster “Future Love”; Silicone Soul with the Curtis Mayfield-Reminiscence “Ride On”), Electro (Silicon Soul “Who Needs Sleep Tonight“; Goldenboy featuring Miss Kittin “Rippin Kittin“), Dance-floor (Snap “Colour Of Love”) and Trance (ATB “Let You Go“) which are all revived in a downbeat style and receive their own, unique, surprising twists. And, perfectly timed for Christmas, this album ends with “Silent Night”. The lead vocalist of Seefeld is 26 year old Madalina Raluca Horeanu - aka Mady. She was born on 26 March 1982, in Botosani, Rumania, where she again currently lives with her mother and husband. With her blonde hair and the big green eyes, the 1.76m singer is an eye catcher! She participated in a communist singing competition at the age of four and, as a teenager, won several contests hosted by Rumanian TV. Mady studied English, French and German, as well as psychology for several semesters. The album was recorded between 2003 - 2006 in the richly historic setting of Casa Nägeli, which is a hundred years old and situated in the Zurichberg. “Seefeld avec Mady” used guitarist Chris Muzik (Bligg, Nubya, DJ BoBo, Natascha, Adrian Stern, DJ Antoine etc.), Uli Heinzler on bass, Paul Jakob () on piano and Christian Roesli (Asphalt Jungle) on keyboard. This album was mastered by the Zurich Downbeat producer Minus 8 (Compost Records), who also contributed a remix to the sound lovers cover version of “Runaway”. Bruno Stettler and Cyrill Schläpfer discovered Mady quite accidentally during a guided-tour through the Ceaucescu-Palace in Bukarest, in Spring 2000. Her appearance was a mix between the look of an ethereal fairy and that of a Parisan top-model, the contrast of which both enchanted and frustrated the two tourists from Switzerland! They met with Mady (then 18 years old) again the following day. It was then that she convinced the two producers of her talent by launching into a spontaneous musical session, which left no doubt in anyone’s mind! One can now only be curious about the upcoming movie to be made about her musical career. This movie will be directed by Cyrill Schläpfer (“UR-Musig”) and is estimated to be released in 2010.
