Born from the ashes of the popular Canadian indie band Looking For Heather, Bowes, consisting of former heather bass player Jay Bowes, is a collection of the writers solo material. "Sometimes Love Is Not Enough" is an album of emotional and melodic songs, mixed together with a gritty indie sound. Bowes is not a typical solo project, the rock songs are big and bold sounding, while the ballads induce mixed emotions with beautiful orchestral arrangements.
