Six songs were chosen out of a dozen that were written during a two year period. They were grouped together for their common pop feel, even though the language varies from english to french. The inspirations go from Coldplay to Rush, Daniel Bélanger to jazz standards, but the voice echoes between Eva Cassidy, Christina Perri and Lizz Wright. The songs reflect personal stories, and bring a philosophical ending, besides Pour toi du rose, which is a naughty song. You need at least one of those. I like to write in a way that can be inspirational. The song I Am tells about all the titles one gets in his life and how getting rid of them might free your soul. Falling was written after a life coach was witnessed helping a fearful person try to climb pegs up a pole and telling her :«Can you keep being scared but climb anyway?». Why not do both. Even if some of my music is inspirational, I still consider it dark. I guess that's what you get from writing at night.
