简介

Here are some of my comments about the songs on this album (I'll add more from time to time): "I Know You’re Going Away" This was my first release on Monument Records and was a Cashbox and Billboard pick. The record charted within 3 to 4 weeks after its release. I Know Your Going Away, was written by Dallas Frazier, one of the really great song writers of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, and someone I was proud to call a friend. Dallas also wrote hits like "Elvira", "There Goes My Everything", "If My Heart Had Windows", "Mohair Sam", "Big Mable Murphy", "Beneath Still Waters", Glen Campbell’s "Just For What I Am", "I’m So Afraid of Losing You Again", "Hickory Hollers Tramp", "My Baby Packed Up My Mind and Left Me", and one of my favorites, "All I Have To Offer You Is Me". Dallas also wrote another 600 or 700 songs that are not listed here. If you like great music, and the people who write the songs, it’s worth checking Dallas Frazier out. "To Hell With Texas" I recorded this song “Live“ at the Red Dog Saloon, in Pittsburg , PA. I always loved playing the Red Dog because we normally would wind up there during baseball season and most of the visiting baseball teams playing the Pirates would stay in the hotel that we were in and would come out to the Red Dog for some good food and entertainment. (I am being respectful) Most of the players I met there were great folks and I enjoyed meeting them . When this record was released and started getting airplay, I received several letters from Texas with death threats, etc……Pretty spooky……Gotta learn to take a joke guys. The players on the recording are Andy Daniher, Lead Guitar and vocals, Earl Grigsby, Bass and vocal, David Gross, Keyboards, and Sid Carol on drums. "Nursery Rhymes" I wrote "Nursery Rhymes and Happy Times", about my daughters and what I assumed it would be like watching them grow from little girls into beautiful women. Due to my lifestyle at the time and the things life sometimes deals you I did not get to see that happen, but we still dream don’t we.
